My, my—it's hard to believe that the U.S. Postal Service has been around for 250 years. And I've been receiving mail for 1/4 of their time! Yikes!
Postal Deadlines
Thought it might be a nice idea to give everyone who wants to purchase or gift a book about USPS mailing deadlines. I'm already seeing small lines form at my rural P.O. how about yours?

Me, I start shopping for ideas in July, and yet it seems I'm buying something I forgot for someone I forgot until it's almost too late.
But I love the holiday season because it's my time for "hail, fellow—long time no see" celebrations and all of that. And I love giving presents.

IngramSpark and Amazon
IngramSpark is the publishing and delivery arm of Ingram/Lightning Source, and many of the hardcover books less than 75 pages in length come from them to be sold on sites like Amazon. IngramSpark also produces softcover books.
Amazon produces softcover books with no minimum pages requirement and their usual fast delivery, but hardcovers have that 75-page minimum, which means that they depend on IngramSpark. My premium editions of Blue Bug are sold on Amazon, and if you want to obtain a premium hardcover edition... well, there's an order deadline for that coming from IngramSpark.

Since I store my Deluxe editions at my private warehouse (which happens to be my bedroom!), I pack and ship those babies out next day no problem, so my only deadline is when the USPS guys and gals lock their door and tell me to go home. My rule-of-thumb for all U.S. domestic shipping is 3-5 days. However, having written that disclaimer, USPS has gotten better... but... mind those deadlines, and don't forget to buy one of my books!
